What is hormonal skin?
Skincare
In your teen years, your body and emotions go through so many ups and downs that it can be hard to keep up (fun, we know).
This is due to a surge in hormones, which can of course affect your skin too.
Hormonal skin refers to how hormones can change the look and feel of your skin – i.e. if it’s out of balance or having a breakout.
It might mean an increase in blemishes or acne, as well as changes in texture, pigmentation, oiliness or dryness. No matter your skin concern, you can count on hormones to throw it off course.
For teens, it’s most likely to be focussed around your T-Zone (forehead, nose and chin), your jawline and ears, and sometimes your back and shoulders.
