What does dermatologically tested mean?

Dermatology refers to the branch of medicine that studies the skin.
You might go to the dermatologist if you’re experiencing particular skin complaints like eczema or acne.
So if something has been dermatologically tested, it means that the product has been assessed under dermatological control, by an independent lab, to make sure it won’t cause irritation, allergic reactions or sensitivity.
This is done through patch testing – where a small amount of the product is applied to a small area of the skin to test for reactions.
It’s done on human volunteers, to ensure it’s safe for you to use. indu always tests on both ‘normal’ (consistently balanced) and sensitive skin, to make sure any new product is safe and suitable for all teen skin types.
You might see the terms 'dermatologically tested' or 'clinically tested' on a product, these terms are interchangeable and mean the same thing.
All indu products are dermatologically tested, and they’re formulated for teen skin!
