Should I use a lash serum?
Should I...
Everyone wants naturally luscious, long lashes, right?
It’s one of our most asked questions from teens: how do I get longer eyelashes?
The answer isn’t as straightforward as you might think. Sadly, it doesn’t lie in any miracle product that promises to give you dreamy lashes within a week. It’s often due to a number of factors, including genetics, hormones and diet (we go into this deeper, here).
It’s important to remember that investing in products or lash growth serums that promise to lengthen your lashes will of course work in the short term, but it won’t stop your lashes from falling out; that’s only part of their natural cycle.
Eyelashes are more than just a cosmetic feature – they have an important function. They are a protective barrier, helping to shield your eyes from dust, debris, and other foreign particles that could cause irritation or damage.
Typically, upper lashes grow longer and thicker than lower lashes due to a higher concentration of follicles. It’s also totally normal for your lashes to periodically fall out (at different times).
In other words, when you use a lash serum, it may make your lashes longer and fuller initially, but individual lashes will fall out periodically anyway, as they are meant to.
