Fun ideas for school holidays

It’s exciting to take a break from a busy school schedule. When the school holidays are approaching, trying to make the best plans can be a little overwhelming.

They don’t have to be extravagant, expensive plans to still be fun or memorable either. Here’s some fun ideas to help you make the most of it:

Host a craft night with friends – create vision boards, learn how to crochet, do candle painting – the crafty possibilities are endless

Movie night with all the snacks – grab your popcorn (sweet and salty is elite), sweet snack of choice and snuggle up with your besties. PJs optional!

Pottery painting – maybe you feel like tapping into your arty side, or making a handmade gift for someone. Either way, find a spot and paint that plate (or bowl, or mug…)

Roller skating – a bit like ice skating, without the winter layers, or the ice to fall on. There’s usually a great playlist on the speakers too.

Go karting – get behind the wheel and go wild. Bring your competitive side!

Visit a new city – explore a new place with friends, go shopping, find a cute café or two.

Get your nails done – now’s the time while school’s out! Treat yourself and pamper away.

Bake a cake – you can try that recipe you found on TikTok. Bonus: your friends and family will love you!

Go for a mindful colour walk – this doesn’t even have to be far away. Step out your front door, choose a colour and try to find anything in that colour as you walk. Take a pic each time – it helps to clear your mind and put your eyes to the test. The results are super satisfying!

Join a club – whatever your hobby is, or try a new hobby. There’s so much out there – sport, music, dance, baking… the choice is yours!
