How did you get into athletics?

"I’ve always had a love for athletics; I remember watching the 2016 Olympics and the feeling I had towards sport grew from there. Initially, I was fixed on being a gymnast but I knew that deep in my heart I had a soft spot for athletics. In August of 2021, I decided to start athletics at my local club, and my journey in the sport has continued from then."

What do you love about your sport?

"I love the thrill and excitement that the sport brings. Travelling, competing and meeting new people is really what makes up what athletics is. Yes, like any other sport, at times it can be hard and almost draining but the atmosphere and the community as a whole is what keeps me going."

What is your proudest sporting achievement(s) to date?

"My proudest achievement was when I got selected to compete for GB, in July of last year, at the U18 European Championships in Slovakia. It was such an honour and a special moment, especially as I had not even expected it. It’s definitely one of the most memorable experiences that I have had yet."

Any future goals and aspirations?

"Firstly, I hope that I stay fit and healthy in order to reach my goals. It would be amazing to be able to compete at more international competitions this year and gain new experiences. I am working towards gaining a place on the U20 women’s 4x400m relay team, so we’ll just have to see where the future takes me!"
