What is a mattifier?

Whether it’s in powder or cream form, the main purpose of a mattifier is to reduce shine on your skin.
They help to absorb oil, minimising the look of your pores and blurring out blemishes across your skin.
Why use a mattifier? It’s all down to personal preference. If you like your skin to look dewy and glowy, stick to products that achieve that finish.
But if you prefer a more matte look to your skin with no shine, then you could add a mattifier to your makeup bag. It’s all about the soft-focus finish!
