What does a spot patch do?
Skincare
Spot patches are a great way to slow down spots and breakouts.
Whether you wear them at night as part of your PM skincare routine or you’re happy to wear them out and about, there are plenty different styles of spot patches.
Their number one function is to absorb fluids, pus and excess oil that accumulates in your pores and creates spots, to speed up the healing process.
A patch is a targeted treatment that is also a good protective barrier to keep the spot clean and dry – the best environment to bring down and reduce spots.
Most spot patches contain hydrocolloid or salicylic acid, to target bacteria and reduce redness, for boosted healing.
An added function is concealing – some are even invisible patches, so you won’t see that they’re there on bare skin or under makeup, but you know that they’re helping to calm down your spots.
If you want an alternative to spot patches that is still an effective targeted treatment in more of a mask format, our Spot On Paste has all the same benefits.
