How do I feel good on cold and dark winter days?

Culture

As the daylight gets shorter and the weather gets colder, we know it can have a real affect on your mood and emotions.

So since you’re probably spending more time indoors, we asked our teen committee for some fun ideas to help you feel good through winter:

“Get in comfy PJs, watch a movie and drink hot chocolate” Emelia
“Doing self-care stuff like face masks always makes me feel better” Arpan
“Take long baths, wear warm pyjamas and eat good food” Cee
“I make sure to move my body and write down 5 things that I’m grateful for every day.” Evelyn
“Watch Christmas movies, make hot chocolate and get myself excited for Christmas!” Amy

As you can see, the general vibe is centred around getting cosy and doing things that feel cosy and happy, like watching your favourite films and treating yourself to your favourite hot drink. Above all, be kind to yourself, and do what makes you happy!
