How do I help my eczema?

What is eczema?

Eczema is a skin condition that is common in younger people, but can occur at any age. It features dry, red skin that can often be very itchy, sometimes flaky. It can occur on any part of the body, but is common on the face, creases of the arms and legs, and elbows.

When it comes to helping eczema-prone skin, look for ingredients that calm, soothe and deeply nourish. The products you choose should be incredibly gentle on this very sensitive and dry skin type.

We have formulated our Hydrate & Nourish Tonic Milk with uniquely calming ingredients like rice ferment and allantoin for sensitive teen skin. It’s the moisture boost your skin needs, and you can apply it as many times as you want throughout the day – whenever your skin feels dry.

For thicker, more moisturising cream, try our Universal Soft-Cream Moisturiser. Snow mushroom extract helps the skin to hold onto moisture and squalane works to restore your moisture barrier, to help your skin feel less dry.

Avoid foaming cleansers on dry skin. They can be even more drying (not what you need) and work to remove excess oil, so these are better for oily or combination skin types.

Instead, keep to very gentle cleansers in balm or cream formats, like our Universal Cream Cleanser.

Top tip: always do a patch test before applying to your eczema-prone skin. Apply a pea-sized amount to your neck. If there is no reaction after 24 hours, you’re good to go.
